When you create an account, you agree to two documents: the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. The privacy page explains what happens to your photos, including captions, face grouping, location, sharing and the 30-day trash.
Where to read them
Both pages are in this help site under Legal. The Terms and Privacy links in the footer of the home page, the sign-in and sign-up pages, and your account menu open the same pages. Each page shows its version date.
Why you may be asked to agree again
Each document has its own version. When we change one in a way that matters, you’ll see a full page the next time you open your library. It lists only the documents that changed, each with a link.
- Read the document.
- Choose I agree to continue to your library. We keep a dated record of what you agreed to.
Choose Sign out if you’d rather not agree now. Until you agree, you can still read this help, open your exports and billing pages, and sign out.
If you upload photos through a guest invite, you don’t have an account. The page tells you that by uploading you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.
