Add photos when you've been invited

Someone sent you a link or QR code to share your photos. Here's how it works, no account needed.

Someone has asked for your photos. Their invite link (or the QR code you scanned) opens a page where you can add photos and videos straight to their library. You don’t need an account or a password.

Your photos go only to the person who invited you. They look at each one before adding it to their library.

Add your photos

  1. Open the link, or scan the QR code with your phone camera. The page says who invited you and how long the invite is open.
  2. Under Your details, enter Your name and Your email, then choose Email me a code. Your name tells them who the photos are from.
  3. Check your email for a 6-digit code. Type it in (or paste it), then choose Confirm.
  4. Choose Choose photos and videos and pick from your camera roll or gallery. On a phone you can also choose Take a photo. On a computer you can drag files onto the page.
  5. Keep the page open until each file says Sent.

When your files are sent you’ll see Thank you!. You can add more at any time while the invite is open.

If the invite has a limit, the page says how many more files you can add.

See what you’ve sent

Your uploads lists everything you’ve added through this invite:

  • Pending: waiting for the person who invited you to look at it.
  • Added: they kept it, and it’s in their library.

Videos, and RAW files with no preview yet, show an icon and the file name instead of a preview. A RAW file that has a preview shows it like any photo. A RAW file and its JPEG are only joined as one photo after they are added to the library.

Changed your mind? You can delete an upload while it’s still Pending. Once it’s been added, it belongs to their library.

Coming back later

If you come back on the same phone or computer, you usually go straight to the upload step. On a different device, you’ll confirm your email again with a new code.

Sharing a device? Choose Sign out at the top of the page, next to your email address, so the next person can use their own email.

If something goes wrong

  • No code arrived. Check your spam folder. After a minute you can choose send a new code. Codes work for 10 minutes; use the latest one.
  • You were sent a personal invite. Only the email address it was sent to can use it. The page shows a hint of that address.
  • “That code isn’t right.” Check you’re using the newest email, or send yourself a new code.
  • “Too many tries.” Wait a few minutes, then try again.
  • A file says “Already added”. That exact photo is already there, so it wasn’t sent twice.
  • A file says “Didn’t upload”. Check your connection and choose Try again.
  • “This invite has ended.” The upload window has closed. Ask the person who invited you to extend it.
  • “This link doesn’t work.” It may have been mistyped, replaced with a new link, or turned off. Ask the person who invited you for a new one.
  • “Uploads through this invite are turned off for you.” Contact the person who invited you.
